Prior to founding Aquicore, Logan worked extensively in the IT and Telecom industries and has delivered numerous complex multi-million dollar management systems both domestically and internationally for high-profile global telecom and media operators. Logan also helped start a research initiative based on highly secure Quantum Encryption. Logan Soya received a BS in Physics, an MS in Systems Management and has his MBA from Georgetown University and London Business School. During his MBA at Georgetown he worked with Foundation Capital, a top-tier Silicon Valley Venture Capital firm. Logan has always had a passion for energy and is excited to take some of the best practices in IT and Telecom management systems to create better building energy management.
Brian is working to lead business development for Aquicore. He recently comes from Advanced Energy Economy (AEE), where he supported regional chapter development and public relations initiatives. Brian has a strong research background, having co-authored publications for AEE, Deutsche Bank’s Climate Change Advisors, and Stanford’s Atmosphere / Energy Program while completing his degree in energy engineering at Stanford University.
Product & Market Design
Prior to Aquicore, Mark worked primarily in the marketing and interactive space with Sapient, and was also co-founder of digital design shop, DurangoTIW. At Sapient, he directed cross-functional global project teams to the creation of assets amounting to over $40 million in new creative media for Chrysler Group LLC. While working with Johnson & Johnson, Mark created and developed “Human Innovation, Healthcare Transformation”, an internal brand campaign. He holds a B.A. from the University of Florida and MBA from Georgetown University with a focus on innovation and disruptive technologies.
Alex is our lead developer responsible for overseeing new releases and core back-end functionalities. From Russia, Alex comes from 8 years of building IT solutions for energy utility providers. His experience includes building several distributed web services from the ground up in the energy industry. Always interested in new technologies and development practices, Alex pushes Aquicore to keep on the cutting edge.
Robert plays a critical role in the back-end functionalities of Aquicore. As a software developer and architect, joins us with 5 years of experience in delivering enterprise software and mobile applications. From Croatia, his past contributions include a major Telecom Operator in Europe. Robert has a B.Sc. in computer science.
Martin plays a critical role in developing underling infrastructure for Aquicore’s platform. From Argentina, he is an IT enthusiast who has been programming since the age of 12. He has worked as a product developer for 3 startup companies over the last 7 years and is fast to execute lean startup methodologies on all his projects. Martin has a B.Sc in Technology and Systems Engineering.
Quality Control – Ivan, or “Blaz”, leads our quality control efforts and is also a pretty awesome frontend developer in a pinch! He comes from a combined experience of over 10 years in both web development and software quality control.
Skyler recently comes from Stanford University, where he earned a B.S. in Earth Systems with a focus on Energy Science and Technology, as well as a minor in Computer Science. At Stanford, he studied building energy performance and conducted an energy efficiency analysis of a 400-person lakeside conference center building complex. Skyler utilizes his understanding of energy systems and technology to further Aquicore’s product development. He is also working on a M.S. at Stanford in Management Science and Engineering.
Mia provides critical Quality Assurance and product management support. From Croatia, she joins Aquicore with 5 years of leadership experience in software testing and technical support with a leading Swiss Telecommunication company. Mia has a M.Sc. in electrical engineering.
Grant Allen is Senior Vice President of ABB Technology Ventures (ATV), an investor in disruptive power, automation and green technology companies. Grant has led investments in Validus DC Systems (acquired 19 mos. after investment), Scotrenewables, TaKaDu and Industrial Defender. Previously, Grant was with Core Capital Partners, Microsoft, Jingle Networks (sold for $63 million) and several start-ups including a web services firm he started when he was 19. He is an active angel investor and a founding member of NextGen Angels.
Mike has built and led teams for over 25 years in the electrical design and installation industry. He is a former CEO of an electrical engineering company that had annual revenues of $45m. Mike was a lead technical director in Better Place and responsible for methodology design and implementation of their global charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. Mike is Principle at Lindheim Consulting where he is providing executive level consulting services to the renewable energy and clean tech industries.
Charles works for Morgan Stanley specializing in wealth management services for real estate professionals and owners. He has over 12 years of combined experience in finance and commercial real estate. His team at Morgan Stanley manages over $200 million in assets. In addition, Charles previously closed more than $500 million of commercial real estate transactions in the USA and Europe as a Managing Director at Jones Lang LaSalle and Vice President at Bank of America. Charles holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation with an MBA from London Business School.
Tim McLaughlin has over 13 years of experience in emerging technologies and interfaces, fluency in multiple programming languages and expertise across a wide range of architectures. He is the CEO and Co-Founder of Siteworx, LLC and former CTO at Iteration Zero, Inc. As a member of Young Professionals Organization, Tim has experience in finding young successful chief executives and connecting them with businesses leaders on global level.
Andy has more than 20 years of experience in leading and creating eight SaaS and B2B software product lines and businesses. He is one of the co-founders of Group Logic and the former VP of Sales & VP of Business Development for the firm. Andy has extensive experience finding & establishing high-value relationships with industry leaders and driving software solutions to become industry standards.
Zach comes from an extensive background of experience in the DC area and has focused on energy efficiency for the past 6 years. Zach currently works with New City Energy, a premier consultancy helping city municipalities take better control of the energy usage of their building portfolios. He’s the former CEO of UUorld, data visualization software.
