Building Load Curve

The building load curve is a graph showing the total amount of energy a building consumes for both mechanical and thermal needs over time. In a perfect world, a building would consume energy in a perfect bell curve; however, there are always peaks and dips in energy consumption throughout the day.

Why It Matters

This curve is used to identify inefficiencies and areas of potential energy consumption reduction. It will also help property managers identify the base load and peak load of a building.
