Series A Milestone Marks New Standard for Connected Environments in Energy Management June 8, 2016 | Logan Soya

Yesterday, we reached a milestone in Aquicore’s history: the announcement of our Series A round. Washington, DC-based Kiddar Capital led the $5 million funding round with Silicon Valley-based Navitas Capital joining as a new investor, along with local leaders, including 1776 and Acceleprise.vc.

This new round of funding will allow us to bring even more ambitious innovations to market while strengthening our vision to seamlessly interconnect the built environment and global environment through our digital environment. As connected devices continue to become more and more common, we look forward to Aquicore playing a critical role at the intersection of these three environments.

To introduce our partnerships, Kiddar Capital, led by Todd Hitt and Cheryl Foil, present a unique opportunity to help communicate the potential of our technologies across all areas of real estate. Their influence in the market will be one that I’m sure will support Aquicore into its next stage of growth.

I’m also excited to have Navitas Capital joining in this round and having Jim Pettit joining our Board of Directors. Jim is a seasoned investor in advanced technologies and puts Aquicore in very good company with other great tech names in the built environment.

We look forward to sharing more about our journey, and I look forward to speaking with many of you in the days to come.

Finally, this milestone is especially meaningful to me personally as I look back through the past 3 years of growth. I would like to say a heartfelt “thank you” to everyone who has helped and supported us throughout this journey. Thank you for believing in our vision of making the world a better, smarter, and more efficient place.
