Aquicore Heads West, Opens San Francisco Office

WASHINGTON, D.C. & SAN FRANCISCO, CA, JANUARY 19, 2016 – Aquicore, a technology leader in real estate’s emerging Internet of Things sensor economy, announced today that it is expanding to San Francisco to meet the growing demand for better transparency into energy consumption and to pave the way for further expansion on the West Coast.

“There is a keen interest about energy consumption, transparency and sustainability among tenants, developers and building owners in California given the state’s Title 24 and other energy related regulatory initiatives taking hold this year,” said Aquicore CEO and Founder Logan Soya. “Our San Francisco office allows us to support clients on the West Coast looking for creative energy and water management solutions.”

Aquicore offers energy analytics and automation solutions for commercial real estate. Its full-service solution provides hardware and software that compiles data from utility meters and submeters in real-time. One of Aquicore’s largest advantages is that it can deliver low-cost metering and submetering and ultimately provide impactful decision-making information in under 30 days.

In 2015 alone, Aquicore saw a 1000% increase in the number of meters delivered and connected to its platform, a 600% growth in new customers using the service across their buildings, and nearly tripled the employees to deliver its intelligent building management solutions.

“San Francisco is a key tech hub and also affords Aquicore access to innovative partnerships with other clean tech firms that serve the real estate industry,” added Soya.

Lauren Goodman, who joins Aquicore from KPMG, will oversee business development efforts with the support of Brian Miranda. Dustin Dolby who has worked in the commercial real estate industry, will be the local sales representative.

Aquicore recently raised a $3.1 million seed round led by global startup incubator 1776 in August and in December added three new members to its advisory board: Efficient Capacity Managing Partner Mark Goldstein; GreenBiz Group Inc. Chairman Joel Makower; and Regus Group Managing Director Rick Bertasi.
