Energy Management Software Company Adds Key Tech Player

AUGUST 20, 2015 – Aquicore announced today that strategic marketing executive Shana Glenzer will join the company as Chief Marketing Officer. As CMO, Glenzer will lead efforts to further accelerate customer acquisition for Aquicore’s energy management solutions and build the brand of the rising DC tech firm.

“This is the perfect time to bring in Shana, a leading tech voice whose track record, creativity, and commitment to client service will help drive our strategic growth goals,” said Aquicore founder and CEO Logan Soya. “Aquicore has grown exponentially in the last two years and Shana has the extensive experience and insider’s knowledge we need to amplify our brand and craft compelling initiatives that generate engagement and community across markets and our client-base.”

Glenzer comes to Aquicore from a role as Vice President of Social Marketing at SocialRadar, where she designed strategic marketing initiatives to connect with users and app developers while engaging influencers through press and digital channels. There she also performed direct outreach to technology communities in key markets to establish the company as an innovator in mobile location technology.

Before joining SocialRadar, Glenzer held an eight-year tenure at Blackboard in a variety of marketing and sales leadership positions. Glenzer was named one of the top salespeople in the Blackboard Mobile division, closing the largest Blackboard Mobile sale in history to a system of over 23 colleges. During her time as lead for K-12 marketing programs she was an early pioneer of inbound marketing, using social and content marketing to generate demand. Early in her career, Glenzer served as a trainer and client manager at SMARTHINKING Inc.

“From my first introduction to Aquicore as a DC Tech Fund recipient, I caught the leadership’s passion to help companies consume energy efficiently and saw a solid business poised for remarkable growth,” said Glenzer. “I’m ecstatic to join the team at this pivotal moment and look forward to leveraging Aquicore’s previous success to build our brand and expand our customer base in key markets.”

Highly engaged with local tech organizations, Glenzer serves as co-producer of DC Tech Meetup, which convenes hundreds of DC innovators on a monthly basis for demos and networking. In 2014 she helped to found DCFemTech, a brain trust of women tech leaders trying to increase diversity at local companies. Her most recent venture is an advisory role with the DC chapter of Vinetta Project, a high-impact network for women entrepreneurs.

Glenzer is also a regular tech commentator for national financial networks including Fox Business. Washingtonian Magazine recently named her one of Washington’s “100 Top Tech Leaders” in its May 2015 issue.
