Digital DC Grant Recipient Aquicore Moves To Tech Corridor


Aquicore Signs First Headquarters Lease in Washington, DC

JANUARY 1, 2015 – Aquicore, the Washington, DC-based provider of energy management and tenant billing software for large commercial and industrial portfolios, has relocated to 1015 1/2 7th Street, NW from its current home in the UberOffices space at 1200 18th Street, NW.

Aquicore, one of eight companies selected for a $122,500 Digital DC grant in October, plans to double its revenue and head count in 2015. The company is working with local private owners including Brookfield, Douglas Development, Tower Companies and BECO Management, and recently installed its low cost sensors in the 400 buildings managed/owned by the District of Columbia. Aquicore was also just awarded its first international contract for an industrial campus in Mexico.

“The shared environment provided by UberOffices was great for us as we proved our concept in the marketplace,” said Aquicore Founder and CEO Logan Soya. “But we started to outgrow our physical space there and needed a new type of collaborative environment. This Mount Vernon location is a perfect fit for the next phase of Aquicore’s growth.”

Located one block from the Mount Vernon Square metro, 1015 1/2 7th Street, NW is owned by BDC Commercial LLC. Bobby Blair of JLL represented Aquicore in the transaction.
