Energy Conservation Measure

Energy Conservation Measures are any projects that are designed to save energy. These might include switching to energy efficient lightbulbs, upgrading HVAC systems or changing window treatments.

Why it Matters

Historically, it has been challenging to measure the effectiveness of ECMs. With real-time data, measurement and verification becomes possible. You can compare your energy consumption before implementing the ECM to the energy consumption after implementation, to see how much was actually saved. This is especially helpful for scaling solutions to an entire portfolio after piloting one building.
