Ultrasound Meters

A type of non-invasive flow meter that measures the velocity of water, gas, or steam flowing through a pipe to determine the volume consumed. Two ultrasonic emitters a set distance apart bounce sound waves through the pipe and measure the sound waves’ rates of travel to determine the rate of consumption.

Why It Matters

Ultrasound meters can read the rate of flow through a pipe without an invasive procedure. Often this makes them a cost-effective solution.
